This is a nice & spacious donativo. Good kitchen area, and lounge. Not the nicest area of town, but I was one of 6 pilgrims in the whole place and my goal was to rest, so it was a very quiet night. Everything is clean, and there was a light breakfast served in the morning. Highly recommend staying here as your second “rest” night for Leon, and then you’ll have a more manageable walk to Hospital de Orbigo the next day.

This is a super nice donativo! Most people stay in Léon, but I recommend staying here after exploring the city because it's so much more personal and friendly than what you will find in the city. Real sheets, nice kitchen, breakfast included, nice places to relax and socialize, soap and laundry detergent provided, and incredibly welcoming volunteers. It's a little tricky to find but totally worth it - just keep going along the road and the hedge eventually opens up to reveal it. If you are there on Sunday and want to cook a meal, I recommend buying ingredients in Léon because the store here is closed on Sunday.

I stopped here to stay after 35km and couldn’t have been happier. From the start, Charles and Kathleen welcomed me like an old friend. They offered me water with lemon and oranges to cool myself off and then welcomed me into the very clean and modern Albergue with open arms. What a wonderful place to stop for the night. We had a community dinner (Charles should be a chef) and talked and laughed throughout the evening about our experiences on different Caminos. The beds were very comfortable and came with real cotton sheets. I’d stay here again in the future.

Stayed here for a night on the way to Hospital de Obrigo. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay or a better place to interact with others. The volunteers that run the Albergue were so kind and inviting. You can tell they love their jobs and have been pilgrims before. The place is clean, modern, and the beds are super comfortable.

While this Albergue doesn’t look like much from the outside, I can’t say enough about the inside. It is modern, spacious, clean, and welcoming. The Hospitalero’s are kind, inviting, and genuinely interested in making ANY pilgrim feel welcome and comfortable. The group dinner was so excellent with lemon pasta, salad, and bread, all organized by the Hospitalero’s and the pilgrims collectively. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to rest my head and fellowship with others. What a wonderful surprise for me on the Camino. Skip Leon and stay here!! It’s wonderful!

From the outside, it looks very sketchy, but it is wonderful inside. Plenty of room for your things, spacious shower and bathroom areas that are separate for men and women. They will do your laundry for you,, and have breakfast items for the morning. They are so kind and had a lemon/orange water for us when we arrived. A responsible donation is what you pay. Very nice! 😁
