Albergue Verde has a way of loosening tired shoulders and weary legs once you see this green ivy covered exterior. The welcome is warm and continues throughout my stay. Massage is available, dinner was delicious; babaganoush (one of the best), super fresh salad all home grown, lentil and pasta soup (this was so good) followed by homemade pear cake. I could easily stay here again. The place was clean, showers had hot water, bonus.

This albergue was nice! But not sure if quite lived up to the hype, as the beds were pretty closely packed together and the room was totally full. My friend the night before said there were only 6 pilgrims, which would change things drastically. No charging in the dorm space at all. The yoga room was closed for work being done, but onsite massages were offered for 25 eur! Dinner is by donation and was delish.

What a restorative albergue! The gardens and the indoors are so peaceful and calming. Staff very friendly and helpful. The meal was absolutely delicious! So nice to sleep on cotton 😍

4th stay at Albergue Verde. As good as ever. Beautifully relaxing atmosphere inside and out. Warm relaxed welcome. Super clean. Blankets and real sheets. Washer and dryer. Yoga studio for stretching or meditation. The pups are still here, more mature but still loving! The garden and hammocks just ask to be used.
The vegan meal is, and always has been, delicious and plentiful.
Since 2018 we have always pre-booked !! It is a well known Albergue for good reason. Positive word of mouth !
If you want to stay here, don’t assume they will have a vacancy for walk-ins.
I sincerely recommend this beautiful Albergue.

I arrived footsore and tired, looking forward to my third stay at the Verde.
Much to my surprise I was asked if I had a reservation.
Edu, the bossman always refused to accept reservations on principle.
The receptionist seemed confused and phoned someone for advice.
Then I was told the price was €16 not the €13 shown on WhatsApp.
In 2021 when I first stayed my bed donation was €20 plus meal donation so it wasn't the cost in itself that put me off.
It seems that the Verde has succumbed to the business model once despised.
I left and found a bed in an albergue on the road through the town.

My second time here, a few changes since last time but still so good. Clean, comfy with a lovely relaxing hippy vibe. Loved the evening meal made with produce from their own garden. How magical to fall asleep on a hot summer night to the sound of the Beatles and Pink Floyd being played expertly on guitars in the garden. The best lullaby ever 🥰

This is such a great place. It’s just difficult to sleep with their dogs barking under my window. Especially on a warm night when the window is open.

You enter this lovely albergue at the back of the house up the stairs. The sitting room has a soothing feel. I has a warm welcome by the hosts who offered tea or other beverages. The washrooms are clean, there is soap and blankets are offered for free. It was too cold and raining so I did not lay down in a hammock or use the yoga space in a separate building in the yard. It is apparently fully supplied for yoga practice.

This is probably the BEST Albergue experience I have had on the Camino. 5-8 minutes off the road you walk in on but WORTH IT. The vibe is amazing. They are kind, welcoming and helpful. The food is AMAZING. Don’t miss this one!!
