Under new owners, Luis and Bea, this is the friendliest albergue. Only eleven beds, so highly recommended to book. On arrival, I was lame, and the albergue was fully booked, but Luis drove me into town and fixed me up in another albergue. I stayed the following night, and enjoyed two excellent meals.

Totally in the spirit of the Camino.

My husband and I stayed here in April 2025, the new owners Bea and Luis can’t do enough for you. From the moment they sign you in they are offering you refreshments after your walk. We had the dinner which was amazing spread and the breakfast also. In total for two people it cost €62 and it was well worth it.
Highly recommend

Super warm and friendly team to welcome you with anything you might need after a long day of walking the camino! I was lucky that this albergue was open. They had ginger and lemon water available on arrival, dinner and breakfast for a bit extra (looked amazing, regretted not getting it!) I started stretching a bit and they immediately provided a yoga mat so I could comfortably spread out. They brought extra lounging chairs as well. Great beds and heater to create a warm environment. I even forgot something and Luis brought it to me at my next
stop. Cannot say enough good things about this albergue and the wonderful people that run it!!

I stumbled upon this place on June 1st, 2024 and struck up a conversation with the man sitting outside who turned out to be the owner. He told me that the albergue wasn't actually open yet, but that I could charge my phone and rest for a bit if I wanted. After talking for a bit, he said that I could stay after all. I'd had a couple really demoralizing days and, though I was a little apprehensive, I did end up staying. What a BLESSING! Raphael BBQed that night and shared dinner and drinks with me after picking up Michael, who was to be the new hospitalero, from the airport. I was able to do some laundry, slept very well upstairs that night, and had a great breakfast the next morning that included eggs and a kiwi even! After feeling quite down about the Norte, having that night to recharge at Raphael's place really turned the tide for my Camino! He wasn't even going to charge me, but I insisted on paying for his really kind hospitality. Even when I tried to put 30€ on the desk (a more than fair amount for everything I'd received), he refused to accept more than 20€. I'm very grateful for my experience here

There is a new hospitalero running this Albergue, which reopened in June 2024. Previous comments may or may not apply.

Stayed here with my 23 year old daughter, and 2 adult female friends on the 3 rd July 2023. Really enjoyed the experience. Host cooked an evening meal which was great. Would recommend to pilgrims of all ages.

The host is very nice. He speaks German,English and Spanish. Gave me water with lemon when I arrived.
It’s 15€ for a night, 19€ with breakfast (and it is a very good breakfast, you get more than just toast and jam ;))
For dinner he wanted 6€, 7€ with wine (don’t know if the price depends on what he cooks).
It’s a really nice alberge, the bathroom is clean and you have hot water.
All in all I would definitely recommend it :)

Excellente saison !

I am reflecting on my camino journey from 1year ago.
This day last year I was just leaving this albergue after a full and satisfying breakfast. We were greeted with lemon water when we arrived. The upstairs room was great. Able to do laundry. It was full and we had a fabulous mix of pilgrims. There was a couple who was turned away but who came back to join us for dinner. The next door neighbor even gave us a demo on how to pour sidra. We all felt very taken care of by Raphael.
