Wegbeschreibung

Der Camino führt an der Bar am Alto vorbei und bleibt ein kurzes Stück abseits der Straße. Zwischen hier und Fonsagrada verläuft er neben oder direkt auf der Hauptstraße. Auf halbem Weg nach Fonfría kommst du durch Cabreira.

The bar is in the middle of nowhere and it’s a very timely stop. Yes the prices might be €1 more per item than in the villages, but I didn’t really care, I was just pleased to find it.

The food was basic but good, the staff were busy but polite.

It had a great atmosphere as it was rammed with peregrinos

A welcome sight after a long trek up from Grandas de Salime. Good coffee and refreshments. Perfect refuel stop before continuing to A Fonsagrada.

So grateful this was open. Very nice people. Food and beer options, all prices posted on the wall so no surprises like expressed below. We arrived at Noon on a Sunday, so if it’s open now it will be open other days. Be sure to stop!

The bar tender here is very rude. He was asking some pilgrim’s “What the f**k do you want?” in Spanish. You’re better off avoiding him and going to Catro Ventos further down the trail.

The bar is a very small one, a much better place is 4 km after.
