A Guarda ist stolz darauf, die frischesten, am selben Tag gefangenen Fische zu servieren. 

Geschichte

Das wichtigste Wahrzeichen von A Guarda ist der Hügel im Süden, der Monte de Santa Trega. Wenn Sie sich für die Wanderung nach oben entscheiden, werden Sie mit großartiger Aussicht belohnt. Auf dem Weg nach oben sehen Sie einen keltischen Castro, ein Dorf aus der Eisenzeit. Am Gipfel befinden sich unter anderem eine Kapelle und ein Museum.

Wegbeschreibung

Verlassen Sie A Guarda entlang der Rúa Puerto Rico, vorbei an der städtischen Albergue. Die Pfeile sind hier schlecht und es ist das beste nach einem Schild Ausschau zu halten, das den Weg nach Playa Área Grande / Praia de Area Grande zeigt, eine Linkskurve von der Rúa Puerto Rico.

Folgen Sie dieser Straße bis zum Meer und biegen Sie nach rechts. Vor Ihnen liegt ein kleiner Strand, gefolgt von einer Kurve in der Straße und einem etwas größeren Strand, dem Area Grande.

Camino de Sant…

I walked from Viana do Castelo and arrived tired. I was welcomed with kindness. The room had an amazing view and I saw Italians eating lobster in the restaurant below. It was Saturday night and I heard music in the distance.
Sunday morning it was the Feast of Saint Benedict and there was a relic to be venerated. Words are useless. I stayed the day to rest.

Camino de Sant…

Hotel Bruselas was an excellent hotel with rooms for multiple people. 4 of us (2 couples) stayed in a quadruple room with a queen bed and two twin beds. Very clean and modern with plenty of room. The shower was hot and had a rain shower head. One of the nicest hotels along the trail. We paid 58 euros total. A continental breakfast was included. The owners were very kind and attentive. A full grocery store and multiple restaurants are within a couple minutes walking distance.

Camino de Sant…

Beautiful town. Lovely restaurants and street artists at the harbour, where you watch the sun go down. The hotel Celta was a lovely place to stay. The whole experience of A Guarda was very positive.
