50% mittelalterliche Burg, 50% modernes brutalistisches Hostel.

The BEST Albergue on the entire Camino!
You get to sleep in a literal castle for 10 euros.
Everything is so clean and brand new.
The host Eugenia is the best and kindest hospitalero on the entire Camino.
Go there, you will not regret it and you will have a memory for a lifetime.

This Albergue is wonderful! Everything new, absolutely best quality and so nice to stay! Setting is perfect, the best restaurant just down the street. Best value for money and super nice host. So good to feel so blessed!! A must to stay!

About half way between San Cristovo do Real and Renche on the LU-633 is Lusío where there is a nice, large (60 bed) Xunta albergue in a beautiful, newly renovated 18th century estate house. The albergue certainly deserves more traffic than it is getting. There isn't a shop in Lusío but you can stock up in Triacastela on the way here. There is a kitchen, but like many Xunta kitchens it is minimally stocked. You can also eat 1 km down the road in Renche. The hospitalera, Eugenia, is wonderful. It should really be included in the guide.

Walked through this almost vacant village. One dog growled and briefly charged us, until I showed him my sticks. No human was visible. He stood his ground but did not follow us down the Camino, through a narrow alley. His barking triggered several other dogs, but they were all inside or tied up.

Very creepy village.

Just good to know, there are no services in this village as of 12Jun2022. Or people from what I could tell.

Camino de Sant…

No services. No bar. Vending machine was empty and abandoned looking.
