Die Bar und die Albergue befinden sich beide in der Stadt Pradela, die direkt am Camino liegt, bevor er nach Trabadelo hinunterführt. Du brauchst nicht in die Stadt zu gehen, es sei denn, du möchtest etwas trinken oder ein Bett beziehen. Ansonsten folgst du den Pfeilen, die dich auf dem Camino halten. Die Wälder hier sind dicht mit Kastanienbäumen bewachsen. Wenn du einen Haufen stachelig aussehender Kugeln zu deinen Füßen siehst, schaue von oben herab.

Wegbeschreibung

Pradela liegt am Hang direkt über Trabadelo. Der Abstieg entlang des Weges ist schnell und führt dich in eine Seitenstraße auf halbem Weg in die Stadt; es ist auch möglich, der Straße für eine längere, aber weniger steile Reise zu folgen.

Während die schöne Herberge und das Café geschlossen waren, konnten wir in der Café Bar einen Kaffee trinken (ich habe kein Essen gesehen), die Toilette benutzen und etwas Zeit zum Ausruhen, bevor wir hinabstiegen.

Wir gingen dieses Jahr wieder die Pradela Route, freuten uns auf gute Gesellschaft und Kastanienkuchen im Albergue/Cafe Lamas, fanden es aber geschlossen. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht. Wir gingen nach Trabadelo für eine Pause weiter, erinnerten uns daran, dass die meisten Restaurants vor der Stelle sind, wo die Pradela Route mit der Hauptroute zusammenläuft. Seien Sie bereit, etwa 500 Meter entlang der Hauptroute zurückzugehen (biegen Sie links ab, nicht rechts), um Cafes zu finden.

Wunderschöner Wanderweg, aber beachten Sie, dass Lamas geschlossen ist und Sie daher bis Trabadelo weiterlaufen müssen, um eine Mahlzeitenpause zu machen.

This alternative Route is a commitment, no question. Serious uphill for several km. But soooo worth it. A perfect crisp fall day and all the families were out picking their chestnut crop. The cafe at Albuergue lama was beyond charming. Delicious nourishing food and warm caring host. Say yes to the liquor!!!

Yes it’s hard work getting up that mountain but it was all worth the effort. The hosts at the albergue are beautiful souls and the coffee and chestnut cake was worth every step. Do yourself a favor and do the alternative route.😊

The sweetest hosts, freshest food straight from the garden, beautiful chestnut liquor, stunning views, all worth it with the 8km walk uphill or flat. Just a heads up there are no benches or water fountains on the way from Villafranca, but this way was SO worth it. Could not recommend it higher.

Worth the effort! Anna and Miguel open their doors to us with so much heart. If you can come for lunch, do it. The veggies are all fresh and right from the garden. If you can stay for the night, do it. Fresh air, tinkling bells, great food, cute cats, lovely family, gorgeous view, clean facilities, all around five stars ⭐️! I love-love-loved my time here!

Take the detour and stay here. Trust me. The views are amazing and so worth the climb up and the albergue is run by the sweetest couple. Anna helped me and the other guest make bracelets and served a delicious dinner. It felt like home, not like a business. Loved this experience.

When exiting Villafranca some local people tend to send you to the main camino road along the road saying the detour up the hill is dangerous. Don’t be fooled, the walking path is in very good condition and the views are just stunning. The climb is so worth it!
Miguel and Ana from the albergue in Pradela will welcome you with the best chestnut cake plus chocolate sauce.
