Bar Capo war für uns die bessere Einkehrstelle in Meson. Es ist nur 250m weiter als Bar Suso auf der anderen Straßenseite. Sie hatten eine gute Comida (Rippen und Kartoffeln oder Pasta und Eier) und die Dame war sehr freundlich. Bar Suso war viel weniger freundlich und mein Partner wurde von all den Männern angestarrt und wir hatten immer das Gefühl, dass sie uns lieber gehen sehen würden.

Ich stimme den Kommentaren von Juni 2019 zu, möchte aber hinzufügen, dass es dort auch einen kleinen Supermarkt gibt

There is a bar/cafe on the main road in O Meson, just before the Camino turns right down a smaller road towards Sobrado dos Monxes.

Beware that none of the bars or shops in town accept card payments, which is a real inconvenience considering the last ATM on the road is over 40km away back in Baamonde.

Located about 100 meters off the trail, down the street from Bar Suso, is restaurant Bar Cepo where we had a delicious lunch. A menu of the day, we had soup, salad, meat and potatoes, bread, beverage and dessert for €12. Owners were very nice and pleased to have us. A great find.

As others have said, Bar Suso in O Meson is friendly and has a small shop. There’s also another bar about 100m further on on the right, which looks like it does more food.

There is a lovely coffee with a possibility to buy some groceries.

We visited a lovely friendly bar called Bar Suso on the main road just before the route leaves the main road to the right
