Bitte beachte, dass sich die Albergue in Bendueños befindet, einen 1,5 km langen Weg bergauf. Normalerweise ist Sandra bereit, dich dort abzuholen, aber ab Mai 2022 könnten ihre Autoprobleme das unmöglich machen. Ruf sie auf jeden Fall an, bevor du ankommst... am besten am Vortag.

Wenn du wie ich gerne zu einem Donativo gehst und so viel spendest, wie du für ein Bett in einem Herbergsalbergue und ein separates Abendessen zahlen würdest, dann bekommst du kostenlos eine herzerwärmende Erfahrung und eine besondere Nacht. Ich versuche, überall dort in Donativos zu übernachten, weil die Fürsorge und das Herz des Gastgebers jedes Mal unglaublich inspirierend sind. Die Aussicht allein macht den Weg wert!

Die Herberge und Sandra sind wirklich einen Besuch wert. Aber wie bereits jemand anderes kommentiert hat: Wenn Sie das Konzept eines Donativums nicht verstehen und ein Hotel erwarten oder sich berechtigt fühlen - bleiben Sie weg und zahlen Sie für ein Hotelzimmer anderswo. Wenn Sie jedoch dankbar sind, dass jemand einen solchen Ort ohne Bezahlung betreut, sogar eine Mahlzeit für Sie zubereitet und Ihnen einen warmen Empfang gibt, dann kommen Sie und spenden Sie, was Sie für verantwortungsvoll und erschwinglich halten.

Well worth the stop. The hospitalera said that in recent times she’d encountered a few people who weren’t happy - I’m guessing they’d previously stayed in private accommodation and hotels. So here’s what you get, to clear up expectations:

1) a decent bed for the night
2) a fridge stocked with drinks, plus bottled water and wine
3) bread, butter, jam, fruit, biscuits/cookies etc, tea, coffee and herbal teas as much as you’d like (there was even Yorkshire tea)
4) we received two “family” style meals - home cooked food. Simple but tasty.
5) washing machine (I used the extra spin cycle to ensure everything dried)

Better than most of the municipals, but obviously not up to the standards of a hotel and a restaurant meal! The most important thing was the amazing welcome.

When leaving Herias you climb a hill leaving the village. Be very careful after about 200m there is a very small opening on your right, which isn't very clearly marked. This is the way to Campomanes, down a very steep descent.
