Sign on the door said only open with prior reservation. I tried calling to make a reservation without any luck. This is a place to definitely call ahead.

Sadly the albergue (and the hotel) was closed on 30th June. No explanation on the door, the bar across the road said they were open the day before, and the WhatsApp response was brief and clear. My fault for assuming and not making contact earlier. However it meant a marathon walk to Santiago instead. Good for the bragging rights and self-esteem but not recommended. Lesson learned - check before arriving.

This is a beautiful albergue next to a beautiful church. Host was super nice. We ended up being there by ourselves. Extremely spacious, with clean bathrooms and nice showers. I definitely recommend the restaurant a couple of meters up the road, Reina Lupa, instead of the one right in front of the albergue. Staff was super nice and welcoming, and food was great too. Just what we needed.

Camino de Sant…

Great Albergue. Only possible drawback is that the cafe opposite didn’t start serving food until 8.30pm. Delicious when it came though.
