Loved the garden and benches for sitting outside and relax or the spacious communal area upstairs with couches and the kitchen. Lots of people were making their own food, our room was right off the kitchen two bunks for four people. It was quiet, loved the cotton sheets and pillowcases. We had our own bathroom upstairs where the rest of the people downstairs all shared two showers and two toilets. Nice showers.

A great place to stay with lots of traditional character and hospitable vibes. I was nearing the end of my 1,225km hike from Gibraltar and this albergue was exactly what the doctor ordered during a hike that averaged 35km/day. I wrote about this very charming establishment in my book, 'Vagabond: A Hiker's Homage to Rural Spain'. Mark Eveleigh (UK)

A thoughtfully decorated albergue at the foot of the stairs before Rua Maior, thus rather quiet and out of the hustle and bustle. Cotton sheets for the bunks, which are spaced out nicely in a gorgeous dormitory, as well as spacious upstairs lounge area with a decent little kitchen. Benches outside in the garden to sit.

What a charming and beautiful Albergue… fabulous customer service, excellent clean facilities, garden, centrally located (just walk up the steps and up to the left and all the restaurants go up to a great pizza restaurant or go down to the river. At the top of the steps to the immediate right is a wonderful breakfast and lunch place…
The Albergue is made of stone and the gorgeous outlook airy and beautiful… upstairs has a gorgeous kitchen and eating room. 5 stars!!
Oh and ask the man at the front for a special credential passport if your going to Muxia or Finisterre…

I actually didn't stay here, but was suppose to in Oct 2020. I got a msg from them the day before they a family situation had come up. They still took the time to book me elsewhere at no additional cost. This customer service alone speaks volumes.
