Top floor nice spacious room with clean bathroom for €55.
They have a pilgrims dinner for €12 in the bar downstairs

This is my third stay in this albergue.
Ver comfortable with really good facilities.
Food is great with plenty of choices.
My stay this time has been somewhat spoiled by two young children being allowed to run around shouting all afternoon.
To make matters worse they have been encouraged by various adult family members.
So much for a relaxing time.

I reserved a room here in June 2024 during an assignment that would take me on the Camino del Invierno (for a newspaper travel article). I'd passed through Foncebadon briefly in 2024 without staying - I walked from Astorgo to El Acebo that day - but was maintaining such a pace that I didn't have time to stay. (I averaged 35km/day during the 1225km hike from Gibraltar, researching my book 'Vagabond: A Hiker's Homage to Rural Spain'). This historic convent is an evocative and appealing place to stay and I highly recommend it. Mark Eveleigh (UK)

What a beautiful village- well worth the trek. The Albergue s dinner offered options and large portions- clean rooms with ensuite bathrooms to share. The dorm slept 6 people. They had tables outside overlooking the valleys, so beautiful.

This Albergue also had a mini store for first aid- snacks and drinks.

I was in a bunk room that was a bit crowded for 6 people. We had our own bathroom with shower which was nice. The restaurant/common room is huge! The Pilgrim meal was very good but it's not a group dinner. They give you a ticket and you go and eat when ever you want.
I would recommend this albergue if your passing through!

From the outside, you would not expect much but I was pleasantly surprised by my stay here. The shared rooms are 2 people per room & they have their own bathroom. The shower was incredible! They have heaters, inexpensive laundry machines, a bar, a good pilgrims dinner and the family who owns it, was very kind! Loved it!

The shower was incredible- totally unexpected. Great staff and laundry facility. Super convenient and cool atmosphere.

We stayed at Alberque El Convento on May 21, 2022. Great place to stay. Nice clean private room with bath. Has a laundry with washer AND dryer! Great restaurant. The staff was very friendly and made our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Windows where broken in our room and wouldn’t open. It was so hot I left the Albergue and slept outside.
