Very helpful, kind, welcoming hosts. Good kitchen set up. Comfy stay.
Downside: electrical sockets just in a couple of places, not spread amongst the beds. Plentiful, but all in one corner of the room.

Sister Maria checked us in, very welcoming and explained everything in Spanish which we surprisingly understood much of what she said! She enunciated and spoke slowly to help us learn! Giant room with ~12-15 single beds nicely spaced, no bunks! Maria gave us directions to the pharmacy and invited us to join them for prayer services. This was beautiful and some of us joined in singing songs. Her message was touching (interpreter also sang for us)
The sisters tucked us in and said goodnight at 10pm. Very restful slumber! Oh! And the showers were wonderful!! They even had a blow dryer which was a treat!

Espiritu Santo was a great place to stay with comfy single beds, showers and toilets just outside my door and a fully functioning kitchen. Unfortunately the nuns were out of town at a retreat so no singing was happening. The only negative comment is the albergue allowing a group of 32 to stay which shut out many single travellers. They also commandeered the kitchen for hours making it very hard for others to make a meal. But that is becoming the nature of the Camino the more popular it becomes as a holiday tour destination by tour companies especially in Asia.

I got sick while in Carrion de Los Condes and the hotel where I was staying didn’t have room for me to stay another night. They kindly called the sisters here who took me in and gave me a private room with an en-suite bathroom so I could rest. Their kindness brought me to tears. I am so grateful. October 2024

On the whole, this is a better than average facility.
Let down by the showers.
Nothing that a competent plumber couldn't put right easily and cheaply.
Why is it that so many albergues have broken shower fittings and do nothing about them.
While they're at it some hooks for clothes while showering would be good.

The best beds on the entire Camino Frances, and no bunk beds! Everything was very clean, very bright, and with plenty of space. The nuns were very caring and helpful.

My experience was great. Very heartfelt ladies (nuns?) taking care of the albergue. The building is big and a bit institutional, but definitely practical and spacious. The kitchen was great. The prayer/music moment was nice.

Excellent hostel. There are beds and not bunk beds, several showers with a dry area for clothes, a very good kitchen, many tables in the dining room. It is worth it. The only drawback was the lady who checked in must have been stressed and treated a pilgrim who asked about the rooms very badly. Anyway, I recommend it.

The correct address for this albergue is Callejon San Juan 3. I did a wrap around trying to find the place and the nuns didn’t know any English when I called, so a bit difficult to get directions from them.
