Overfor landsbyen fra den anden side af reservoiret ligger Ermita de la Virgen del Castillo. Det kommunale albergue ligger langs N-630, før caminoen kommer til landsbyen, og Hostal Asturiano ligger lidt længere syd for den.

The Road

Vejen fra Montamarta krydser en del af reservoiret her, som kan være ufremkommeligt, når vandet er højt. Når det er tilfældet, skal du blot tage N-630 over vandet.

Om 4,5 km krydser caminoen over A-66 (se bemærkningen nedenfor om valgfri vejrute). Den krydser derefter et par floder og vender tilbage for at krydse A-66 igen. Herfra følger den en lige sti direkte til Fontanillas. Undervejs er der en afmærket omvej for at besøge ruinerne af Castillo de Castrotorafe, en tidligere højborg for Santiago-ordenen.

All Caminos App User (ikke efterprøvet)

The basic infrastructure is all there good building , spacious dorm, sitting room, kitchen, 2 toilets and showers, kitchen and large garden with hanging out area and seating. restaurants 10 mins walk on the main road in either direction. But the place is dirty and fly blown and feels not properly looked after or cared for. The manager comes over at 4.30pm to collect the cash.

Owner at the Coviran supermercado.
Nice friendly owner and good place to stay. I had a bed upstairs in the dormitory but there are also private rooms.

Great place to stop if you need a rest day.
The Albergue is clean ,quiet with a washing machine and a nice kitchen. Along the main road is a small restaurant with a variety of food. Clean, hospitable and a decent quality compared to terrible San Pedro and a certain place in Salamanca. I'm delighted that I stayed.
