Det er ligetil at komme ind til byen og ud igen. Der er en alternativ rute, som er skiltet, og som fører dig gennem byen tættere på floden.

Som by har Redondela sin charme. Den ligger et godt stykke inde i landet ved Vigos flodmunding og gennemskæres af to massive togbroer.

The Road

Når du forlader byen, krydser caminoen N550 ved en flaskehals på den nordlige side af byen, der er tæt trafikeret på alle tider af døgnet. Kryds N550, så snart du kommer til den, og drej næsten med det samme forsigtigt til venstre ad en sidevej.

Pilene herfra lader lidt tilbage at ønske. De er der, men er blevet spraymalet med en ikke helt korrekt gul farve, og til tider føles de ikke helt legitime. Følg dem alligevel, og når du nærmer dig Cesantes vender stenmarkørerne tilbage.

Wonderful cafe right off the camino, gorgeous views of the river/bridge. The women running it were so sweet. It was hot and a long way with no stops before this, and like the American I am, I almost cried when I saw they offered an iced oat milk latte on the menu.

Hotel A Marisma is located at the far end of town super close to where the Camino exits the town, across from the plaza and several restaurants. Facilities were clean and a load of laundry costs 8€ (4 to wash, 4 to dry). Came on a Sunday so a lot of restaurants were closed - but Don Vinarius was open Super friendly staff and they even made me a bocadilllo to go!

I arrived to Redondela at 5pm on a Sunday - very little open! I know it’s customary and it was my poor planning that left me hungry and searching. However, “Vila Bella Food & Drinks” near the Convento WAS open and had a large menu. Thank you for feeding a hungry pilgrim!

Fabulous, exceptionally clean apartment on the Camino trail. Equipped with all the latest appliances, crockery, and cutlery. Laundry services available on site. Super clean, softest white towels and comfortable bed with beautiful linen. Bathroom amenities. Quiet and easily accessible. The owners are friendly, go out of their way to help, and always available to assist. Highly recommended.

This a nice place, you can do your laundry in your room, and it has a fridge in your room too, it’s right on the Camino, I really recommend this one, everything was clean

I am staying at this albergue now. It’s right on the Camino. It is bright, clean, spacious, with rustic look. It was the home of the owners grandfather. The owner is very, very helpful to pilgrims. Highly recommend.
