SPLIT: Alternativ rute via Huarte eller følg caminoen

På picnicområdet ved siden af vejen kan du vælge dit eget eventyr. De fleste vandrere fortsætter videre og opad. Du kan også følge floden og holde den på din højre side ad en alternativ rute til Huarte (albergue municipal, alle services) og videre til Pamplona (uden om Trinidad de Arre, Villava og Burlada). Denne rute er marginalt længere end den anden, men går uden om den meget oplagte stigning herfra.

Camino de Sant… (ikke efterprøvet)

It’s nice to take the river route for the first few kilometers but check the map before or after Huarte where you can switch to the original route. There’s very few yellow arrows on the river route and it’s indeed much longer if you follow it all the way to Pamplona

Camino de Sant…

Oh man, this is a confusing road. Unless you’ve got a good GPS map and you’re using it a lot, I’d recommend the climb instead. There’s two paths on this detour, the river route to Pamplona (which is much much longer), and then a few arrows to Santiago. When you get to Huarte, there are a few yellow arrows on buildings like the rest of the path this far, then there are yellow chevrons on the ground, which I’m still not sure I should have followed, as they lease you to the center of the town. I was able to continue there to the river and follow it (along with my GPS app).
