Ud af byen er en alternativ rute, der bliver til en grussti mellem fyrretræer med flot udsigt over landskabet, at foretrække frem for den officielle camino. Den deles med vandrestien GR15, så se efter de rød- og hvidstribede markeringer.

Camino de Sant… (ikke efterprøvet)

Just to note that if you follow the path marked on the app, there is a dearth of yellow arrows as you leave Castro Marim. If you follow the red and white GR markers however you come to Monte Francisco and the yellow arrows reappear.

Well worth a short detour to the castle at Castro Marim. Only €1.10 entry. There is a church dedicated to Santiago inside the castle walls and there is a view over to Spain.
