I had a good peaceful stay, room was cool and comfortable on a hot day, good kitchen. It cost 28€ for the night.

I was so tired from my walk I crawled into the first albergue I saw.. looked ok but looks deceive. Ushered into a hole in the back somewhere crammed with bunks - toilets, showers were a bit suspect. Glad to get out of there next morning.
Should have walked further on to better albergues!

I reserved a bed and received confirmation that I have a reservation. I sent a thank you message and got back “ See you tomorrow”.
When I arrived the nun receiving simply said “completo”. I showed her the messages and she just kept repeating “completo”, “ completo”.

I rented a private room with a bathroom for €50 a night. I lay down on the mattress and decided to ask the receptionist to cancel my reservation for €10 because the mattress was so uncomfortable (old and with noticeable metal springs). The chipboard underneath one of the mattresses was also broken. The receptionist initially agreed to the deal. When I packed my things and asked for the €40 back, he told me he couldn't remember what he'd told me and could only give me €30 back because the sheets needed to be changed for hygiene reasons. I'm overjoyed to be out of the room, because at Hostal Albe I only paid €32 a night and had a really comfortable bed, a much nicer room, and even a bathtub.

I enjoyed the bathwan and madrass. Clothwashing for free. Great room and stay there!

We had a private room with bathroom for €50, but many pilgrims that had been in dorms until here opted for private rooms shared bath. Super value and many just rocked up on the day. If you arrive late you’ll be in a shared dorm like usual.
The guy that manages the place is precise and fairly slow but his demeanour is delightful to experience and reminds us why we are on the comino.
Dia supermarket is close 2 blocks, but beware all the restaurants are closed from 3-7 or 3-8pm.
Also the cafe en route at the 7k mark tomorrow serves everything you need so u don’t have to “stock up” as everyone seems to do.

Second time staying here. 8 years apart. Exactly as we remembered it. Had a private room with bathroom. So peaceful, Clean, welcoming, value for money. Definitely recommend that you visit the chapel beside the accomodation. You’ll notice the nuns who have sworn to silence, praying.

I cannot recommend this room any more highly more than any places I have stayed so far. This is so amazingly clean and the place is so peaceful and quiet. Theres a kitchen and laundry here too and 3 min walk to the grocery!You pay 25 euro for a private room but I cannot recommend this enough to prepare yourself for the 17km walk stretch the next day. Love love love it!

Great option at €25 for a single room in the heart(ish) of town.

Basic room with en-suite, blankets, heating (never enough anywhere) and comfy bed. Access to a kitchen down the stairs and across the courtyard.

Quirky man who does the work here is charmingly dour.

Super quiet & peaceful & super safe.
