Lires er det eneste sted mellem Finisterre og Muxía, hvor du kan forvente at få forsyninger. Der er også en strand inden for 1,5 km.

The Road

Til FINISTERRE OBS: I bunden af Lires, overfor kirken, er der pile malet i RØDT, som angiver en 'kystnær' mulighed til Finisterre, som drejer til højre og følger kysten for at slutte sig til caminoen igen nær Castrexe. Denne mulighed tilføjer 1,1 km til ruten, men giver meget bedre udsigt og mulighed for at tage en pause på stranden.

The fairly new Liresca Restaurant in Lires is great. Good and interesting food options using local ingredients and different food choices from the usual Camino staples!

There are hardly any markings for this route including near the church. I had to download alltrails to be able to find and follow it. In some places it felt quite sketchy- right along the cliff edges and track very overgrown. Got lost a couple of times despite having the all trails map.

Having said that, the views were stunning. I eventually made it to fisterre (walked muxia to fisterre) pretty exhausted!

I had a reservation at the Albergue in Lires, As Eiras.
I was at the same albergue in 2017 and 2018. Everything was nice at that time.
But now the hotel receive buses of tourists and they party all afternoon and evenings.
I will never come back , it doesn't feel like a peaceful rest for the pilgrims who walked long kilometers .
I find there was no spirit of the way here.
Time change.

The red arrows are not where the app describes. They show up just before A Canosa so keep going after you see the “P” s printed in bright orange/ red.
