My recommendation would definitely be to book in advance! If you’re staying in Roncesvalles, you NEED to have dinner reservations booked or you might struggle to find food after a long hard days walk, when all you want to do is eat, shower, and sleep. There are only three dinner restaurant options, at the other accomodations from the pilgrim refugio, no supermarket or anything like that, and it was very hard to just walk in and find some food anywhere. Check out Google and find a menu, and book your dinner alongside your accomodation. Buen Camino! All the best everyone :) hope this helps!

After a long and wet climb over the mountain without experience of hostals, we left our booked albergue after all the queuing and noisy floors and found a haven here, great room, food and coff worth every penny and solidified our decision to only seek private rooms for the Camino!

We stayed in a private room and had dinner and breakfast in the dining room.
We found everything excellent.
Wish I could post a photo of the meal. All inclusive for 17 Euros, with wine and three courses.
I would definitely stay here again.

What a great 3 course dinner! It was a treat after an arduous hike through the mountains. We are in the early stages of this trip but can’t say enough about this dinner.

Casa Posada has great bocadillos and nice tapas, perfect for lunch. The restaurant has a set menu.

The room rates are now 75 euro double and 65 euro single. Rooms are cozy and nice! Filled up completely by 3pm though, so book ahead or arrive early (be in line when checking opens at 2pm). :)

Lovely old building, had a twin room, breakfast was a good Buffett
