The hostel is very close to the cathedral and the old town, making it an excellent location for exploring the city.

I arrived on a Saturday at 4:00 pm and was greeted by a self-service check-in machine. There was no reception staff on site, although the machine was connected to a call centre and the people on the other end were reasonably helpful.

I was assigned a private room with a very large, comfortable bed and a terrace. Unfortunately, there is a large motor unit located on the terrace that switches on and off continuously throughout the day and night, creating a significant amount of noise.

I had chosen a private room specifically for peace and quiet, so this was very disappointing.

The staff were unable to move me that night as no other rooms were available, but they did promise to change my room for the following night.

If you plan to stay here and book a private room, I recommend requesting a room other than Room 201.

Great location, friendly staff on site until 20:00, electronic after. Very quiet and reasonably priced especially if shared. Highly recommend.

We chose this albuergue because it said it had air conditioning. The first impression was nice, the host spoke great English and the building was lovely. It’s a great location, steps from the cathedral. However, our first room was 84 degrees. When we told the management he told us that “The air conditioning was broken”. Confused why he put us in that room then. He did move us to another room, same problem, no cool air. The other problem was the showers, they turned from hot to cold with no warning, so you were constantly getting scalded or frozen.

Camino de Sant…

A perfect room for two on the Camino. A stone’s throw from the cathedral. Kitchen downstairs, so you can cook. A worthwhile place to rest weary legs. Would stay here again. English speaking receptionist who was lovely.

It’s very near to the Cathedral and centre of town. English speaken receptionist, clean and a good breakfast.Recommended.
