absolutely delicious traditional asturian menu del día (particularly recommend the favada - bean stew with chorizo and pork)

they have a card machine if you *really* don’t have cash but are reluctant to use it because of the fees. some reviewers (and one guest today!) got a bit angry about this but at the end of the day it’s a small business in a rural spanish town - preferring cash is not unusual and to me seems pretty reasonable.

stayed in the hotel part, room was clean and bed was comfortable.

some reviews have said they were treated unkindly by the owners but this couldn’t be further from my experience - they were warmly welcoming and super friendly.

if you are wanting to stay in a five star american style hotel this isn’t for you (which i think is maybe the problem faced by some earlier reviewers)! but if you want a comfortable stay with some old-school Spanish hospitality, with delicious local food, don’t skip this place - it’s great.

This was like an oasis after a very long and difficult walking day! Nice little room, very good dinner with a menu of the day for 14€.

Here you can choose which you would like, the Albergue attached or the hotel. I chose the hotel this time round. Fresh accommodation very clean throughout. A bar, coffee shop and a restaurant too all in the same building. Friendly beyond belief staff, right now doing my washing for me while I get a shower. One member of staff speaks some English and lots of french as well as Spanish. Google translate has helped. Highly recommended.

The Albergue is wonderful. Very private beds with lower bunks with curtains. Each bed has its own power outlets and shelf. Great showers. Clean and helpful hosts.
